It is a place where you simply have to rest and take a pause. The lunch meal is cooked freshly and the lemon cake is a dream! The owners are not even describable in words …. Overwhelmingly friendly and welcoming. We loved this place!!

I am a guy who love food and I know already what I am expecting from the restaurants. My experience on this place was one of the best I had in the Great Britain 🇬🇧. These nice ppl who are running the place are very kind, respectful and professionals! From the beginning till the end we felt awesome. I want you to have a few surprises when you get there so I wont say everything, but what I can say is that I am thankful we visited them. Ppl who are working in gastronomy can definitely learn how the “business” can be done with love👍❤️

We tried to use Google maps to find this, but it takes you to the wrong side of their property. Please note you should head for Abriachan Forest Trust, which offers great walks and is fab for kids and directly opposite the entrance/exit is the 1km walk to the cafe. It is quirky and quite unexpected. Dint expect indoor seating or luxury fixtures and fittings, but you do get a lovely setting in the middle of the forest, peace and quiet and a quite sublime lunch. There's only one choice at £20 a head, but for what you get, and the quality of it, it's well worth the money. In case you fancy it, you get a packet of oatcakes with 3 sizeable chunks of cheddar along with a little side salad of radish, cucumber, tomatoes and olives all in a balsamic coating. This is with a bowl of home made soup (lentil and bacon I think it was). You get a large pot of your choice of tea or a large cafetiere of coffee, and the biggest slice of lemon drizzle cake you ever did see - and it was as light as a feather. We left very full and satisfied, so if you fancy something a bit different that serves very tasty food, then I would recommend this. BTW, the couple that run this place are real characters and ever so friendly. It's definitely worth a visit.
