Heatherdown Lodge

We have visited Heatherdown Lodge on several occasions over the years, but this was our first visit since it has been modernised. The views and location remain absolutely amazing and now the cottage provides a very high level of comfort. The open-plan kitchen is well-equipped with large doors opening onto a decked outdoor eating area. Walking on the coastal path, cycling or surfing during the day, it is lovely to come back to the tranquility of Heatherdown Lodge to refresh in the luxurious bathrooms and to enjoy a drink soaking up the views. At night, the dark skies make for some awesome stargazing. A wonderful place to escape to!

We have loved our stays at Heatherdown Lodge. In this tranquil location far away from the crowds you are greeted by huge skies, miles of great coastal and country walking and of course, the great beaches of North Devon. The accommodation is spacious and well set out, offering us and our dog all the comforts of home.

Fantastic location with uninterrupted views across the Bristol Channel to Wales in a stunning environment on the edge of Exmoor. The house is very well equipped and appointed and comfortable regardless of the season and weather. We have throughly enjoyed our many visits in particular the walking, beaches and local hospitality.
