Camping Le Châtelet 5 étoiles - Romanée

When searching for a campsite in France, we stumbled upon Romanee’s Le Chatelet. We immediately were triggered by the sea view camp spots. What also was a plus, is the size of the camping. Despite not being very large, the camping has all essential elements (small shop, indoor swimming pool, snack bar, playgrounds, and a wonderful beach within 5 minutes reach). When arriving, we got a spot with a great view! A view we have enjoyed everyday. The kids had a great time at the playgrounds and pool. And with all the great weather, we have visited the beach numerous times. When there was a question, we were able to reach out to the staff, which responded friendly and quickly. France is not known for clean showers and toilets, but Le Chatelet is a positive exception! All was clean and tidy. The only thing we’ve overlooked, was the absence of a water point and drain on our camp spot. But our watering can fixed that. All in all we have had a really great time at this wonderful camping! We would highly recommend it! And for those that like to explore: the surroundings are also full of cool spots to visit.

One off the best vacations ever. The location is perfect. The staff and personal is so helpful and friendly. For my daughter also perfect. We will come again for sure !! And for good food you can stay on the camping, it's really good. Especially the Poissonnier at the camping.

We stayed in a tent so I can't rate the cabins. The location is stunning. Wash facilities are clean and checked regularly. Pool is lovely, small but versatile as they have a cover when it rains. Walk to the beach is steep but you are well rewarded with sandy beaches and copious rock pools. Entertainment in the evening is fair, not my thing generally so I'm probably not best placed to judge.
