Craigmaddie Glamping

Great little pod. Ideal for the night for 4 of us. The owners were super helpful, went above and beyond and stored our bikes too

I had to come up to Scotland for work, and I booked this by basically finding the midway point between offices in Glasgow, and the site we were working at. Fortune was smiling on me as when I got to Craigmaddie Glamping it couldn't have been any better. The pods themselves were comfy, cosy, and have everything you need, plus a lovely terrace area to sit outside at. The location is perfect for exploring the very beautiful area, with all the amenities of Milngavie nearby, which makes for a very comfortable stay. And thank you to the hosts Anne and Brian for being so welcoming. I will definitely come back, hopefully this time for more leisure than work!

If there were 7 stars to give I would. The pods might seem small from the outside but they are very well planed . There is a small living room, a kitchen and it’s looks like every little thing was taken into account. Including extra heating or cooling on top of the floor heating. There are chairs and tables to sit outside to admire the view. It’s only 6-7 minutes drive to Milngavie. And Brian’s service was over the top. We called to ask for a taxi number and he just came to pick us up and refused to be paid. The next morning he took us to the town again. He left shortbread gor us to have with the tea. Everything was very clean and welcoming. I highly recommend this for WHW hikers, writers or artists who needs a getaway or anyone who wants to enjoy some of the Scottish hospitality. I will definitely come back.
