Locanda al Castello Wellness Resort

It’s a 15 minute walk up a hill from the central station but it’s really worth it. Lovely room with wonderful over the countryside. Really lovely evening meals a good reward for the walk around Cividale, view upon view. We arrived from Trieste, train/bus, disappointed to see that taxis were not a feature dispute the taxi rank! A bit of a climb for us old codgers with our luggage, but it was really worth it. Stars all the way, 5+

A total con. We booked the "hotel with spa", but that is an available only with an extra charge of 30 euro per person to access the pool and sauna. This was not clearly mentioned in the hotel description, otherwise I would have chosen a different place. Very disappointed!!! Not to mention the anciently furnished rooms. There's a wedding tonight just ipposite our room so after failing to get reassured that there would be no noise into the small hours we simply left. You book a hotel because you want to sleep, if inwant to join a party I will do that of my own will...
