Hotel Ristorante Forte del 48

First of all, the newly refurbished rooms are amazing, we really appreciated the modern interior design and all the available amenities. The staff were super helpful and kind, spoke great English, too. There are parking spots for guests right in front of the hotel. The hotel also has its own restaurant, we weren’t able to try it out, but will make sure to do so next time.

My family have been staying here since the early eighties. My wife and I Recently stayed on our honeymoon as we visited family in San Dona di piave. This is by far the best Hotel in San dona. The service by Ludovico,his dad and family is nothing short of excellent. The restaurant well don't get me started here!!! It's a Michelin star restaurant in San dona, the best food in Venice. Try the calcio e pepe simply to die for!!! Ludevico's dad makes the Gnocchi hand made on a sunday morning. In fact we had all the cousins come their to meet us for breakfast lunch and dinner. I'm not just saying this but hands down this is 5 star not 3. Grazie molto il forte 48 un abraccio e a presto.

The room is lovely and the staff were very friendly. The food was outstanding. Not cheap, but the correct price for the standard of food served. Thoroughly enjoyable. The waiters were absolutely amazing at the start of our meal when it was quiet. Going through each option carefully. The only reason the review is four stars, is how the attention dropped to almost non existent towards the end of our meal. No one came to ask if we wanted desert for almost half an hour, and the once they did, it was another 15 minutes until they returned to ask what we wanted. Then when we asked for the bill, it took a further 15 minutes for someone to come with the card machine. This really did put a dampener on what was otherwise an excellent meal.
