Hotel Chips Fene

Great hotel with a small downside. The hotel itself was fantastic – modern, clean, and comfortable. I really enjoyed my stay. However, I couldn’t help noticing a horse alone in the field next door, which left me feeling a bit uneasy. Still, the accommodation was excellent overall.

We've had a weird experience here. The hotel looked quite new, so everything was sterile and without atmosphere. We were able to speak to staff only when we checked in, after which they disappeared for all the night. A leaflet said the restaurant would open for dinner and breakfast, but they both weren't. For dinner and breakfast I had to go to the supermarket next door for microwave food. The bedroom was super clean and comfortable, as was the bathroom. Great rooms, but a horrible service ...

Good location on the Camino path about an hour south of Fene. There was no one at the hotel reception when we arrived but they quickly answered via WhatsApp and gave us the code. The place was very quiet as this was off season. They arranged dinner for us that was delicious and a nice breakfast. Rooms are simple but clean and comfortable. There are other options for eating and a big supermarket next door.
