Hotel Parada Puigcerdà

The staff is very friendly here. Great lounge and coffee upstairs. Spa is included in the price by appointment. You will be the only one in the spa without strangers, there is a view from the window and a great jacuzzi. The breakfast is nice, although the selection is not very large. In the attic rooms there are metal structures inside the room, the same ones are in the lounge, you can hurt yourself on them. Be careful. In general, this is a very good hotel for its money

What was not to like? Trains are right downstairs. Staff were essential to my getting around and doing things I wanted to do around here. The rooms are spacious, in a charming space with high ceilings. There’s a spa. The breakfast was amazing. All the cheese and pastries.

We arrived by train, taking a very short train ride from the international train station at Latour de Carol. It was great to go direct from the platform to the hotel. The receptionists were all friendly with those we met speaking some French as well as Spanish. We were able to securely store our luggage until check in at 3pm. Our room was clean, comfortable and a good size and the buffet breakfast offered a good selection of food. Being able to book the Spa in the evening was great after a day out walking. We loved using the free funicular and lift to quickly get to the heart of Puigcerdà and there was a good range of bars and restaurants in the centre and we loved the little bar/cafe by the lake.
