Camping Ixeia

Four nights spent by a couple in a camper van. Pros of this campsite (because we obviously stayed here a while): - It's incredibly well located, with a handful of beautiful hiking routes that you can do without even taking the car, and a short drive from even more. - The view is absolutely amazing. - The staff is friendly and helpful, knowledgeable of the hiking routes in the area. - It's a very wild campsite, not the kind of place full of kids with activities all around (there's another campsite for that sort of audience very nearby). - It's really cheap. The cons: - As other reviewers say, the toilet facilities really need to be upgraded. They are old, very poorly maintained and with serious problems to evacuate water. On top of that, yes, they should be cleaner. - The place is a bit chaotic. Some nights, super peaceful, and another one's, a bit overcrowded without really any control of where anyone is camping. - There's absolutely no phone signal in the campsite, which is not the owner's fault, but can get problematic and is important to know. - The ground is rather uneven, which makes resting a bit more difficult. Overall, yeah, a nice place to stay if you're willing to understand that it's far from perfect.

It’s cheap and the river is nice. BUT! No toilet seats in the bathrooms, I stayed for two days and not once were the bathrooms cleaned! Wi-Fi only at the reception. Showers not comfortable (you have to leave your belongings outside not to get them wet). Does not worth even the cheap price.

Camping Ixeia is a gem. The spot is beautiful with plenty of shade, a big stream, and a beautiful view. It is a nice nature camping, we saw little animals, there is no asphalt everywhere and the vegetation is divers. The sanitary facilities were clean and functional, and the showers were very nice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Nearby are plenty of hikes and beautiful places to visit.
