Pairc an t-Srath Guest House

Excellent stay. With touches of originality, standing it out from the crowd! The house is really NICE and VERY WELL MAINTAINED, on a little high ground OVERLOOKING GOLDEN BEACHES, with views across the sea to the sound of Taransay and St Kilda (on a clear day). The interiors are CARED ABOUT EVERY DETAIL, with extensive (but proper) use of Harris Tweed. Every room has a specific colour, and our BATHROOM (with shower) was simply INVITING: TIDY, BRIGHT, CLEAN, WITH A WONDERFUL SHOWER, and miniature versions of the BEST BATH PRODUCTS we’ve ever found in a B&B (or even in a hotel!). The BREAKFAST ROOM was even more charming: located in a house ledge, with windows on 3 sides, and of course OVERLOOKING THE SEA. But the LOUNGE ROOM was no less: “WARM” AND WELCOMING, with leather sofas and tweed textiles. I received two unexpected gifts there: Lena (the owner) shown me a wonderful photographic book (“From the land comes the cloth” by Ian Lawson), and also offered me a glass of whisky, only because I still hadn’t had any from the beginning of my travel… Thank you Lena :-D BREAKFAST too was simply GORGEOUS: fresh herrings (first time in my life, for breakfast), REAL toasted BREAD (not sliced bread), homemade orange jam, natural yogurt and coffee… everything DELICIOUS! Needless to say that’s when we got a little said, when told that she couldn’t provide also dinner that night… :-( So… the only lack we found was the DIFFICULTY IN FINDING THE B&B SIGN along the road, not well visible. For the rest: we can’t wait to be there again!

Had a lovely 2 night stay here. Amazing location, immaculately clean and well presented accomodation and delicious breakfast. Extremely helpful and friendly hosts too.

We had a wonderful stay in this delightful B&B. Everything was perfect. If you get the chance of evening meal just say yes!!
