vegetarian options at the restaurants in town were limited. a tip from the information center brought us here and we were pleasantly surprised. the food was good and definitely vegetarian - no dishes filled with baked or fried cheese. we had a delicious sauerkraut soup, buckwheat salad and a cabbage/potato mash. I would definitely recommend this place for any vegetarians looking for a dinner option in Kobarid. the kitchen is open from 16:00-21:00 for dinner; earlier for drinks, cakes, and other baked goods.

I stayed here for 2 nights in one of their eco chalets in Feb during the low season. I cannot complain. It's a short walk away from Kobarid, with Napoleons Bridge on the way for sightseeing. Likewise the Kozjak Waterfall is a 30 minute walk away aswell, and the site sits on the Kobarid historical trail too. The lady who checked me in (reception open from 2pm - 11pm as of my stay) was very friendly and spoke good English, even helping me with using the washing machine and dryer. I can only apologize for my limited slovenian! I was given a map of the site for reference. The eco chalets are above the main reception buildings, 2 of which allow for direct parking outside. The eco chalets were spotless. The heating worked well. Plenty of bedding and kitchen utensils were provided together with a modern shower unit and towels with hair drier if needed. It was very quiet when I stayed so it seemed as if I was the only person there. I only used the washing and drying by way of camp services. Both machines are self serve and token operated, tokens can be purchased from the reception. There is only 1 washing machine and one dryer which is shared for the camp. Yes they are old, but the they do the job well! There is a small bar area which was popular with some locals there when I checked in. Other services that the camp offers such as a resturant and outdoor activities (rafting, kayaking, climbing) were closed for the winter I think. The small kids outdoor play area is open with swings, slide etc. They even have goats and cute ducks which are there all year round too. I cannot speak for what the camping experience is like. I would consider coming back, if the price of my stay could be matched again.

This campingsite is located in a very nice area with a lot of stunning views. The surrounding and the camp is kept very naturally, so you can find a lot of plants and animals (super cute goats). The staff is friendly and the food in the restaurant tastes amazing. The sanitary area is good. Only disadvantage is that the tent area is placed on rocks, so the ground is very hard. But overall Avery nice spot.
