Hill Camping Kandern

Good location and free entry to the pool next door was included. However they have a break from 13:00 to 14:30 so when we arrived a few minutes after 13 we were told we couldn’t even enter the campsite.

Unfortunately when we arrived the man on reception was horrible. We asked for one night and he printed an invoice for two - a simple language misunderstanding we thought as we don't speak German. When we pointed this out he had an absolute meltdown, snatched the invoice, screamed in our faces and thumped the desk. I ended up in tears in the campervan afterwards. Our German neighbours on the next pitch also said they found him abrasive and rude. This campsite is in a stunning location. The facilities are clean, if slightly dated and out of nine ladies toilets only four are working. The rest though is very good. Expensive in comparison to other sites we have used.

Really enjoyed this campsite such a nice helpful chap on reception. Great swimming pool along side quality washing up stations and showers and toilets are ok.
