Stora Klippan på Surtesjön

Very nice spot for a tent. Also easy access to the water and a grill spot. Was there on my bikepacking trip to Oslo, wasn’t sure if accessible with a bike, but was no problem at all. Just head to the parking area and follow the trail along the lake northways.

First things first: This is a beautiful spot! Five stars wouldn't even be enough. We're only giving it one star to draw attention to our experience: Attention, fellow motorhome/caravan drivers!!! There is no official campsite/parking area here! There are regular parking lots around the lake. The spot on Google Maps only shows a secluded wild camping area in the middle of nowhere. Know this if Maps suggests this spot.

Great place with a nice cliff over the lake. Perfect place for a swim and a barbecue! The best crib on the whole of Surtesjön! Anyone who doesn't visit this legendary place is missing out!
