Casa Țambă

Beautiful mountain hut along the Via Transilvanica with great view over The Valley. We enjoyed our stay there, got delicious food (dinner and breakfast, also vegetarian on request). The host is very friendly and attentive, making sure guests have a pleasant stay. There is a small orthodox monastery just around the corner that’s worth visiting.

I stayed at Casa Tamba during my time on The Via Transilvanica after a long day of walking in the forest . It was one of the best accommodations of the trip and one of the more unique experiences of my life. My host, Aurel (pictured below), was incredible. He lit multiple fires, heated the water so I could have a shower and made dinner / breakfast for me. We chatted over google translate over a beer - a true gentleman! The house was warm and cozy and I can't recommend the accommodation enough! The views were spectacular and the cabin was a perfect refuge from the surrounding wilderness. Thank you Aurel, see you in the future my friend! What a beautiful place!
