Hotel Alpenland

I had a lovely stay at this beautiful hotel. First of all the location is great! With ski in and out facility. The room was spacious and there was a beautiful bathroom with great rain shower. The breakfast in the morning was very complete with a lot of choices. In the evening you can relax in the lobby with bar. Overall it was great stay!

Just arrived back from our stay at the Alpenland. It was me and my 12 yr old son. We booked via Booking.com as this was one of the last rooms available in Obergugrl on Jan 2nd. We could only book an apartment but that was fine - we just wanted to ski. I thought the hotel was very well appointed and run, nice team running it ( although very little english support in the restaurants bar the managers ). We were told on day two that because we had booked an apartment we did not get any room cleaning for our stay ( 3 nights). Whilst not dramatic I was pretty surprised given we were paying just shy of EUR 600 per night with no breakfast or half board included. We did try the dinner once. This was highly overpriced for the calibre of food. He had breakfast once and this was very good, plentiful and value for money. Location is great for ski and ski out. It is a walk down ( and back up ) into central obergurgl for the shops and other restaurants. All in all, I would stay here again but I would certainly confirm the details before hand - the hotel reception were not for moving on the cleaning subject !

We stayed recently. Whilst we thought the hotel would be nice, it exceeded our expectations. The hotel is well appointed and clearly cared for and looked after by the owners. It strikes a perfect balance being modern and traditional Austrian charm. Although less striking than the communal areas of the hotel, our room was still lovely - very spacious and comfortable. The food and drink was also excellent. Whilst a couple of the evening meal choices were more adventurous than our liking, there were always alternative options on the menu, but it was nice to try some authentic dishes and appreciate the local cuisine. The starter buffet before soup, main course and dessert was excellent. Should we return to Obergurgl, we would definitely stay here again.
