Nationalpark Camping Andrelwirt

We had a great stay at this small campground. Beautiful, peaceful location in a small village surrounded by mountains. Lots of opportunities for hiking and cycling in summer. Our young children loved the trampolines, table tennis and play equipment. The owner was helpful, the charges were reasonable and the bathrooms were spacious and clean.

Very nice environment! And that's where it stops! We were not on the campsite but on the meadow behind the Andrelwirt restaurant. On arrival I clearly said that there were also 2 dogs, but the owner waved that away, which I appreciated. Usually you pay 2 euros per dog. I then clearly asked what the price was per night and he said 34 euros per night. I agreed and thanked him because the dogs were not charged . When I paid 4 nights later... I still got a deposit of 32 euros. 4 euros per night and per dog. The agreed price expired and suddenly became 42 euros per night. conclusion... I would never have given 42 euros per night for that place next to the campsite where the trucks come to unload and a lot is parked! This campsite has been a major let down for us and after 40 years of camping the most unfair we have come across. Not to be repeated ! In fairness I can say that the restaurant, where we ate every day, has good food, good service and correct staff!

Unfortunately very bad experience. With my family (3 kids) we have booked in advance a pit at the camp before summer 2022. After our arrival everything went bad. The reception was closed during operation hour. We were literally haggling a pitch for our tent and according to order confirmation. Everything were full according to a man on phone. They were trying to persuade us that our place is at a parking lot in contrary to our booking confirmation. After several calls new excesses and still rising nervozity. The owner finally shut the phone call and we left with children in lat afternoon without a place. We found another lovely camp. This experience was unfortunately very unpleasant. No pardon, just lies and rude behaviour. Above that, before the facility were cramped waste containers and surrounding was stinking with garbage. The facility inside looked a bit old and shady.
