Locanda il Carugio rooms&breakfast

We stayed here for 5 nights in May and loved every minute. The rooms are modern, the rooftop for breakfast and sunbathing has an amazing view, the hosts were so generous with their time in terms of explaining how to get around by foot/train and which restaurants to try. Every morning we had a gourmet cooked to order breakfast with the best croissants and fresh juice. Corniglia turned out to be our favorite town of them all - it’s on the smaller and quieter side, with a few great restaurants and easy access to the hiking trails. We would come back in a heartbeat.

We had the most wonderful time at Locanda il Carugio. Starting with the lovely room, the incredible breakfast, a rooftop terrace with breathtaking views and ending with a parting gift of some home grown lemons, there was nothing more we could have wished for!

Staying here was the highlight of our honeymoon. Corniglia was our favourite of all the Cinque Terre towns and Locanda il Carugio was the perfect base for our exploration. Gianpaulo and Giulia were extremely hospitable and kind. They made us excellent food for breakfast every day and answered all our questions. GP even gave us a tour of his gardens and homemade marmalade as a gift when we left. Would have stayed for a month if I could. Recommend 100/10.
