Il Bordone del Pellegrino - B&B

we spent one night here in late August. Cinzia and Federico are very accommodating and helpful. Federico drove us to the closest restaurant, a good 15 minutes away, because the closer restaurant was closed that night. the room and bathroom were clean and more than satisfactory. breakfast was very good, with special home made products. I would only suggest adding a small common space inside with chairs for bad-weather days. location fits well with the Francigena. grazie mille a Cinzia e Federico!

It has taken me a while to recover from our big European trip, but better late than never! We (my wife, our girlfriend and myself) had the pleasure of staying at Il Bordone del Pellegrino in May, and what a wonderful place it is. Admittedly it's a bit off the beaten track, though if you're walking the Via Francigena (as we were) it's perfect! Cinzia and Federico are fantastic hosts, very hospitable and welcoming, and what a beautiful breakfast spread they put on. On the eve of our arrival we sat down on the patio, enjoying a glass of wine and the breathtaking views. For dinner he dropped us off at a cute little inn, where the chef/owner cooked us a delish meal! We had a wonderful night's sleep in the cosy bedroom overlooking the impressive countryside. In the morning Federico offered to take our luggage to our next destination, whilst we started our day's walk. Just as well, because about an hour into our walk he passed us in his car, turned around and informed us that we were walking in the wrong direction!!!

A beautiful stop in the Apennine mountains. The owner welcomed us so kindly and warmly. The views are truly breathtaking – in the literal sense. The room we stayed in exceeded all our expectations: everything was fresh, clean, and thoughtfully prepared, with a great sense of privacy. To our surprise, we were even treated to a delicious dinner made from ingredients grown right nearby in the garden. Our only regret is that we couldn’t stay longer.
