It was not bad at all, but as they presented themselves I expected a bit more. We were waiting 15 minutes for someone come to check-in. Room was nicely decorated and maintained but bathroom was rather small. Breakfast was disappointing. Located in another building, it was cold inside and you had to choose between sweet or savoury platter and you could not combine it.

If I could give more than 5 stars, it’d be to Capitano Collection. Our room in Tower Camaldoli B&B was spacious, clean, and had a ton of natural light flowing in – and breakfast at Trattoria al Vecchio Forno was a great start to the day. Their team went above and beyond expectations. We received a warm welcome upon arrival and every day at breakfast -- and the staff was always willing to support with questions or requests, including spending multiple hours helping a friend and I sort out an electric vehicle fiasco. Lorenzo helped to liaise with the Comune, the mechanic, and even helped to get a replacement battery for the key of the vehicle, which had died – all on a Sunday. San Quirico d’Orcia is the perfect location for exploring Val d’Orcia as it is surrounded by numerous hilltop towns, wineries, and restaurants – not to mention directly connected to walking paths where you’re almost immediately immersed in one of the most beautiful landscapes in Italy (and I’ve lived in 3 different regions in Italy over the years, so that’s saying something). We loved everything about our stay and hope to return to Val d’Orcia soon (sans EV). Grazie mille alla famiglia Genovese e tutto il Team!

We stayed two nights at this wonderful B&B and everything was very pleasant. The room was beautiful, spacious, and bright; the staff were all extremely kind, helpful, and professional; the breakfast was delicious and suitable for everyone—you can order anything you want, both food and drinks, over and over again. The staff, too, were incredibly kind and always available! Plus, upon arrival, they gave us a voucher for a drink in their main building and a card for a small gift and a 10% discount in their grocery and perfume shop. Truly a place to return to!!
