Hostel Cassio

The Hostel is ideally located in the heart of the village and it has been nicely updated! On the main floor guests can enjoy the lounge which is furnished with tables/chairs, two small sofas and a coffee vending machine, and there’s also a kitchen for guest use. The bedrooms are spacious and the bathrooms are modern and supplied with hand soap and bath gel. The Hostel is exceptionally clean and Silvana is a wonderful, helpful host! Truly a great property!

Very kind hosts and a great location. All in all a good stop during the via francigena!

It’s like a Hostel fronting as a pawn shop/curiosity museum, with an owner, who clearly is obsessive compulsive, ruling over all. You are in his domain. You never feel comfortable amongst the clutter and the oddities, like tip toeing across eggshells, despite paying above the average rate for pilgrim. The rooms were also incredibly hot during summer, with wasps & bees for constant company. Do yourself a favour, have lunch up the road and then continue on to the much nicer town of Berceto.
