Didn’t stay in the hotel, only went to the restaurant. Came here as on route to the airport and saw great reviews but specifically the mentioning of ‘legendary’ fried chicken, so that caught my attention. It was fantastic! Chicken was crispy and tender and the side potato salad was a delicious accompaniment. Highly recommend stopping for this dish alone. Thank you 🙏

Kudos to the chef!👨🍳 Last summer I had dinner with my family at Taxenbacherhof restaurant and we ordered four different dishes… one better than the other! The staff is fantastic and super attentive. But the chef is the real star 😊 The traditional recipes had been refined to ensure that the local ingredients work perfectly together. My recommendation is to enjoy their desserts! Each and everyone was a masterpiece.

during my trip to Lienz visited this Restaurant for lunch, cozy & hommie space, i am ordering Schnitzel and it was good, smoking area very comfy.
