We had a really nice stay at Hotel Crystal, that have a great location in the city of Engelberg. Our room was nice, clean and had a balcony with view over the mountains. The breakfast was really good with local charcuterie, cheese and yoghurt. The staff was very nice!

After a long day travelling we arrived late. Louise greeted us and put at us ease straight away and the kitchen was waiting for us... they stayed on to ensure we got some food which was really sweet of them. We had the risotto with asparagus, almonds and wild flowers and it was absolutely delightful -- kudos to the chef/kitchen staff. And thank you. I had been in touch with Fabienne regarding walking in the area and she kindly welcomed us the next morning and provided us with all we needed to get up into the mountains and spend the day hiking back to Engelberg. Food on night two was also stunning, this place has the best chef(s)! Our room was clean and simple and had everything we needed... the views of the mountains were pretty as the light changed at dawn and dusk. Thank you to all we met at the hotel and we hope to come back one day!
