Pax Guest House

Where to begin: The Pax Guest House is very likely the finest stay my girlfriend and I have ever experienced. Being avid travelers, we like to think we’ve stayed at some great places, and we have, but nothing really touches The Pax! The staff and service is exceptional. The breakfast: Home grown, prepared and cooked by John, the owner, was some of the most delicious in cuisine and the preparation was stellar. Not to mention it is included in your stay, and the menu changes daily! The views and vistas: Perched up on the sweeping hilltop of the dingle peninsula, surrounded by cows, birds and sheep, the views are almost unbelievable. The rooms: Near perfection with extremely comfortable beds, fresh sheets, your own sitting area (inside and outside) great attention to detail and great privacy. My girlfriend and I are younger (in our 20’s and 30’s) and there’s a calmness that Pax House delivers that’s missing from a lot of other places. Our stay was so good that we dream to one day be regulars there; building up friendships with the staff and patrons throughout the years. Final Score: 7/5.

An absolutely beautiful place to stay! The room was stylish, comfortable, and spotless, with stunning views that made it hard to leave. The atmosphere was calm and refined — perfect for a relaxing getaway. Our host, John, was welcoming and attentive, as was Jules the dog. John also gave us loads of information beforehand. The breakfast was the best as well as the great attention to detail. I would have loved to stay longer!

I'm really not even sure where to begin in celebrating this incredible bed and breakfast... it is by far the finest accommodations I have ever experienced. The hospitality, the quality and artistry of the food, the comfort and cleanliness of the rooms, the surreal views, proximity to town... I could genuinely go on for ages. The Pax house is reason for my husband and I to return to Ireland. Please, do not miss an opportunity to stay at the Pax House, we genuinely miss it every day since coming home.
