Hotel Heidi

This is a great hotel in Dobel. I had a great time visiting with friends and enjoying the surrounding area. Did a great bike ride through parts of the Black Forest. Great fresh air and super cycle tracks. The hosts were great. A Friendly place to stay with lots of local information provided. Breakfast was always great. I stayed for three nights and really enjoyed my stay. I will return again.

All-around excellent experience. Room was clean, with new furniture and standard amenities. Balcony was perfect for relaxing and reading after having hiked all day, and there is a good restaurant nearby. Owners were very nice and accommodating, including helping me make the booking at the next hotel (who didn't speak English), and returning my water bottle, which I forgot in the room, to the next town I was staying in. They even provided plastic bags to make a sandwich for my lunch on the trail.

We booked in May 2023 by exchange of email with the owner. We arrived on our confirmed date in September after walking 30km of the Westweg. The door was answered but we were told the hotel was not operating and there was no room for us. Although we demonstrated we had booked we were unapologetically sent to another hotel which luckily had availability. You may want to consider alternative arrangements or put protections in place should the hotel refuse to honour your booking as happend to us.
