Hike and Bike

We (me and my two sons) had an amazing time snow shoeing with Grega at the Pokljuka Plateau. It was a perfect afternoon trip - Grega offered us a lift there from Ribcev Laz which was very helpful and also great to chat and be able to ask questions about the area- which is really beautiful. Grega was also very helpful before I booked the trip - great communication throughout: quick and helpful responses. The trip itself - snow showing through the Pokljuka Plateau was magical: lots of snow (even though there was no snow in the valley), stunning views, very peaceful. It was interesting to see the cross country skiers and biathlon facilities but Grega also took us further into the woods, off the beaten path, through virgin snow, which was so peaceful and beautiful. Stunning views of unspoilt winter beauty in the woods/ meadow and mountains in the distance. Grega was a brilliant guide, clearly very knowledgeable about the area, helpful with the equipment and all the arrangements and generally a great company!

We had a fantastic experience. Grega has a great set-up. Excellently maintained Specialized gravel bikes fitted our hopes for a relaxed day in the saddle with mostly roads but able to cope if the satnav took us off road. The cycle paths around Bohinjska Betrisca are fantastic. And the climb up to Blato from Stara Fužina is epic. Great communications all the way through and very reasonably priced at €40/day for a better bike than my one at home. 66 very happy kilometres pedalled.

We rented 2 ebikes and made a beautiful tour through the Bohinj valley along small farms, waterfalls and streams . We passed small villages and the Bohinj lake. It was beautiful weather, a bit cold. Grega helped us with the bikes and the route. It was a great day as we love cycling..
