HOTEL IBIS STYLES BASEL CITY

A very nice hotel with an excellent breakfast offering plenty of delicious choices. The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and genuinely committed to keeping the breakfast area spotless. They check in regularly to ensure everything is fresh, well-stocked, and that guests have everything they need. A truly pleasant and welcoming experience.

The hotel is clean and nice, the staffs are friendly and helpful. The location is not really great but ok, just if you are kind of sensitive about the noise you might have to be aware that it's next to the rail and can hear the train quite often even at late night.

The hotel had nice facilities, I loved the fact that they try to be environmentally conscious as well. However, I do want to share my experience with a female employee at the location. My family and I were travelling with a tour group, and we were asked to bring our bags down to reception by our tour leader. While I was trying to put the bags in a corner close to the reception desk, this particular employee came out and loudly told us off for placing our bags at a spot that may potentially cut access to other customers. I pointed out to her that many people had already left their bags in the spot and I assumed I had to keep the bags there, but admitted that I would gladly move the bags to not let it be an accessibility issue. She still proceeded to talk to us in a VERY rude manner, almost condescending. We moved our bags away to a different spot only to watch other people crowding that very spot that she had such a problem with us placing our bags in, but this time she did not bat an eye. I have worked in customer service for a long time, and if I see something be an accessibility issue, I always try and explain to people in a polite manner to get the point across. To yell at me and my father while we were very confused on what to do was absolutely uncalled for. I did not catch her name, but it was VERY disappointing enough for me to leave a negative review. All the other employees were very helpful and kind, while trying their best on tackling such a huge tour group. I owe them all my thanks and kindness.
