Huerta La Laja, Casa Grande

I'm bemused by all the one star reviews. This place was incredible. Yes, there are three separate accommodations on site, but when I was there the other two were empty. Had they been occupied I still think there would have been ample privacy. I had 'mi casita' and it was superbly decorated and appointed. Great kitchen, lovely bed, great shower, woodburning stove and a gas heater as well. Again, not sure what some negative comments on heating were for, maybe owner responded by buying the gas heater. Oh and theres a pool as well. The cleaning lady showed me how to work everything. Easy access with key safe at front gate. Anyway, excellent place At a a great price. Would love to come back.

A wonderful place to unwind and spend a great weekend with friends. You feel right at home. It's fully equipped, with every detail thought of. The pool and barbecue area is fantastic, and the mattresses are incredibly comfortable. Where I stayed, there was a hydromassage shower, which was a real plus. The staff are always attentive to anything you might need. The cleanliness was also impeccable. I'll definitely be back.

I wouldn't recommend it. The house is quiet and the pool area is very nice, although the chlorine tablets are poorly maintained. The rest is quite a disaster. The upstairs shower is difficult to access, requiring steps, and is too high to shower standing upright. There's no shampoo or shower gel, only small sample bottles. The furniture is old, dirty, and in poor condition. The refrigerator doesn't cool sufficiently. There are no garbage containers. So you have to load your car with trash and dump it at a crossroads several kilometers away.
