Great camping experience. The site is spacious and has some very cute features- two small bridges over a stream, decorated with fairy lights in the night and a path in the back that takes you straight into town. The facilities were very clean and there was hot water in the showers. There are a few glamping tents for those who want comfort. The staff in the reception and the little canteen were very friendly and polite. I would definitely go back!

Fantastic campsite! Flat, well maintained pitches. Plenty of clean facilities. Very friendly and helpful staff. At night you can hear the sea whilst under a beautiful view of the stars. Walking distance to Swanage railway, the bus station, shops and the beach! Car free site is extra safe for children. The park is just across the field too.

The owners have a serious attitude problem towards their customers, both on the phone and in person. Luckily we didn't have to interact with these people once we had pitched up. Here is an update. After at least 8 months, the owner of the campsite contacted me to ask me why I gave him a one-star review. I then explained that I was the one that spoke to him in person and thought is process of recycling was a bit strange and he became very abusive. Then he became very abusive once again. Telling me I don't care about the planet And also I would not be welcome back at his campsite. Very aggressive old man. I did try to explain to him that I am all for recycling and I'm one of the most eco people I know as I live on a boat totally off grid. Most of my power comes from solar panels so my footprint is very low but he would not listen to any of it, just very abusive. From what I hear, many people have very similar issues with this campsite and they're quite well-known for their abusive attitude. If you are thinking of going to this campsite, please be aware that the people are not very nice and you will be handed several buckets and a wheelbarrow to cart your things to the campsite. As cars cannot park anywhere near, there are a small block of showers and toilets very far away from where you'll need to camp. And the campsite is actually a golf course that's repurposed through the high season.
