The Cricket Inn

We had a fantastic meal yesterday. The staff were super helpful, welcoming and friendly. They catered for gluten free and dairy free with no problem at all and were happy for us to bring in the dogs. The food was wonderful especially the crab custard I had and my wife had fish and chips which was a really treat as she is gluten free. We would definitely return again when we are in south Devon again.

Our annual seaside break means a lunch here and, once again, it was everything we hoped it would be. Superb food, outstanding service, buzzing atmosphere…. Whatever we try on the menu it’s always fresh and delicious. Miso sprouts were excellent with my roast. My wife’s hake was spot on and the kids meals hit the spot. Always enjoy seeing the team - the service is consistently friendly and efficient and has been for years. Dog friendly too. Hope they change nothing at all, ever. We absolutely love coming here.

We’ve just returned from our second stay at The Cricket Inn, eight years after the first & it was just as lovely as we remembered. It’s a proper village pub with gorgeous rooms, a great restaurant & charming staff. We stayed during Storm Ingrid with waves hitting the building which was rather scary but everyone was extremely reassuring & no damage was suffered. Our delicious dinner was followed by a great breakfast the next morning. All perfect.
