This is a good little hotel with friendly staff. The rooms were very clean and comfortable. It’s a great stay over for the via Francigena. The small pool/outdoor jacuzzi was a lifesaver in the Tuscan heat.

The rooms were terribly cold with no option of heating. The shower was cold, no hot, or even warm water. Breakfast was quite bad. The positive thing is that the owner is quite nice and welcoming. All in all, it is to expensive to justify the high price per night. Needs improvement.

Some places you need to be able to give more than 5 stars and this is one of them. Teresa is the most amazing hostess, warm, friendly, helpful. Nothing is a bother. Our room opened out on to the terrace and the bathroom and kitchen have everything necessary. We stayed while walking the Via Francigena, arriving a little early but Teresa was quite happy to hold our bags while we investigated the town. We had a fabulous dinner at a restaurant recommended by Teresa and the following morning the most wonderful breakfast. Being Australian we like a Flat White coffee and Teresa was able to provide this after a short 'instruction and training' session. I would recommend visiting Gambasse Termi and getting to know Teresa at Villa Della Certosa.
