Muthu Royal Hotel

At first, this hotel appeared quite cosy, but with every closer look, minor inconveniences became visible. The food was not very good, but at least there was a good cake for desert. The heater and shower could do either boiling or freezing. Nothing in between. Half of the bottles in the bar were empty. Good music, though. One of the two breakfast toasters at breakfast was not working.

When we checked in we were told the hotel was only open 3 days. Manager who checked us in was cheery and happy to help with anything , as there were teething problems.Only used the room and the bar so can't comment on food. Seemed very quiet. Dated decor but the room was comfortable and spacious. The beers were warm and no ice machine yet.

They just don't care! I travel across Scotland as a guide and this "hotel" is just a DISGRACE. (I have to go back to this place as it's part of my job, I'd definitley avoid it) An abandoned venue where the management and the staff don't care at all about the basics of the service that they are supposed to provide. Dirty bed sheets, the global deterioration of this place, the electric boards (probably from the 60's) in the bedrooms buzz all night long, the poor quality diner is now being served as a buffet cause the staff ran away... And when you have the boldness to ask why the wi-fi doesn't work, you are being to told by the staff at the reception that if you are not happy you can still send an e-mail to the company (MGM Muthu...) ! Just to avoid!
