Design Apartments Jūrmāja is now in our worldwide top five places to stay! Spacious, airy, and super comfortable with great attention to detail and thoughtful amenities, we loved the wonderful mix of historic features and contemporary kitchen and bathroom (with excellent shower). Perfectly quiet, the house itself is a wonder, and the surrounding landscape absolutely gorgeous. Historic Ainaži is a splendid village, and beautiful beaches are just a short walk away. We had a fantastic stay. The house and the apartments are so neatly renovated with great respect for the historical details of the building. Beds are comfortable, kitchen and bathrooms modern, and everything is clean. The garden and outdoor facilities are super nice. We could eat outside in the garden most evenings. We travelled together in a bigger group and had the hot top + sauna heated up twice during our one week stay. Great fun for kids and adults. The host was so nice and easy to communicate with all the way.

We stayed here on the way from Poland to Finland. The apartment is huge, preserves the old style of the building while successfully including modern conveniences, and the hosts are a great bunch. The local craft beer waiting in the fridge was a lovely detail. Can't really say much about the surroundings other than that we would have loved to stay longer and have an opportunity to explore them. We did drive the old road to Pärnu on the way out which we wouldn't have known about without the guidebook the hosts had written for guests. The price is on the average level for the area.
