I came as part of a coach trip from South Wales. The hotel was spotlessly clean and the staff were brilliant. Their sole aim seemed to be to ensure their guests enjoyed their stay. My single bedroom was a bit on the small side (a larger person would have found it extremely snug) but the bed was very comfortable. Good choice of food for breakfast and evening meal. There was bingo and some entertainment each evening too. Thankfully there was a lift and even better - porterage for baggage. The hotel is situated near the harbour with easy access to the town which has lots of good shops. I enjoyed my stay and would be happy to return. I must mention Anthea, she was lovely and so helpful.

The Hotel was clean and reasonably priced. Although this is a budget hotel, so expectations shouldn't be too high, there are a couple of things that could have been better. Firstly, and to us most importantly, the pressure in the shower was non-existant. I was told that this was "because there is low water pressure in Weymouth". However, this is a hotel and hot water pressure especially can be improved. The other problem was the noise intrusion from the room above. Their TV was clearly audible until it was turned off at midnight. Maybe the sound insulation could be better? On a better note though, staff were generally polite and rooms were clean (just dated)

I was with a social group who came for a long weekend (Friday to Monday). The staff were excellent. The breakfast and Dinner were good although I will say some of the decisions were baffling like putting gravy on the roast beef instead of a gravy boat for guests to pour themselves. The room I was in was clean and the bed was good. I didn't use the shower because I heard from others that it takes ages to warm up and a lack of water pressure. I could definitely tell from using the cold tap that it was struggling. The lift.is small and the staircases are a maze but I am guessing that's what you expect from an older hotel. The in residence entertainment was hit and miss.. the Friday and Sunday night were good but the Saturday night a number of us went into the public bar and listened to their entertainment. The free wifi was a welcome bonus and allowed me to stream Netflix on my tablet with.no.issues. Overall I think a 4/5 is probably fair
