I recently spent four nights at Château d’Ouchy in Lausanne, and it was truly an exceptional experience. From the moment I arrived, I was struck by the hotel’s breathtaking lakeside setting and its rich historic character. The seamless blend of modern comfort with the timeless elegance of a beautifully restored medieval castle created a stay that felt both luxurious and unique. My room was spacious, tastefully designed, and offered stunning views of Lake Geneva. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the thoughtful attention to detail—from the high-quality linens to the carefully selected amenities—elevated the overall experience. Housekeeping was impeccable, with everything kept pristine and welcoming throughout my stay. The location is simply unbeatable. Situated right on the lake, the hotel provides easy access to the Ouchy promenade, the metro, and Lausanne’s city center. Whether I was enjoying a serene morning walk along the waterfront or exploring nearby attractions, everything was conveniently close. What truly sets Château d’Ouchy apart, however, is its outstanding service. The staff were consistently warm, professional, and attentive, always happy to assist with recommendations or special requests. Their genuine hospitality and attention to detail made my stay especially memorable. I wholeheartedly recommend Château d’Ouchy to anyone visiting Lausanne. Whether traveling for business or leisure, this hotel offers an unforgettable and enriching experience

Not representative of the reputation of the property or the Hilton brand...We have stayed in many European Hilton properties (Rome, Athens, Milan, Edinburgh, Innsbruck) and am very familiar with the "difference" between US hotels and those in other countries. That being said, this was far and above the poster child for minimalization. As a Diamond member with Hilton, my wife's status was never acknowledged and when asked about the possibilities of any up grade we were offered a look at rooms but any up grade would be at our expense. Better rooms were available the length of our stay but not for an upgrade, only at an additional cost. In turn the room we were in made the average European hotel look like a luxury condo. The pole in the middle in the room immediately adjacent to the bed was an exceptionally nice amenity. I can only surmise this room was once a janitorial closet. The room was deemed "city view" which was a gross overstatement but the roof was indeed visible and a highlight of our trip to Switzerland. The property was immaculate and the location on the Lake is stunning but the hotel was virtually empty during our stay and no effort was made to go above and beyond. If it were a full house we might be more understanding but we were being "sold" any room change as if the gentleman working the desk were on commission. On the contrary, the Hilton property in Zurich we stayed at the remainder of our trip could not do enough and consistently were appreciative of Hilton loyalty and status. All being said, we would not stay at nor recommend Chateau d'Ouchy to any traveler and regret utilizing hard-earned points and money on our stay. Easily the low point of this trip.

Fantastic location next to the lake (hotel has its own pier). Very kind and professional staff at the reception, breakfast and bar. Breakfast was very tasty and selection of dishes was pretty good. Room was clean, comfortable and equipped with Nespresso coffee machine, iron, minibar... Bathroom nice and spacious.
