Visited in December for one night. Check in was smooth and welcoming, and we both both a free tram pass that we used for the day. Requested interconnecting rooms and were amazed that we had a small vestibule between room, it was perfect. Rooms clean, much larger than we expected (we booked family rooms as there were only twin rooms left) We were two friends, so we booked separate rooms as they were a reasonable price, but note the shower has a glass wall in the room so visible. There is a button though you can press to make glass opaque. Breakfast was busy but was to find a table and food was readily available. We walked from the station when we arrived, but got the tram back in the morning. Easy choice either way Would use again if visiting Basel

Here’s a clean, natural rewrite with better flow and clarity: The hotel is nice. Its exactly what you’d expect from a standard Novotel in Europe. Check in was fast, and if you’re an Accor member, you’ll receive a welcome drink. Getting here is easy: take tram no. 10 or 11 from Basel station and get off at Münchensteinerstrasse, only two stops away. Public transport is free with the Basel Card provided by the hotel. If a ticket inspector asks, you can simply show your booking confirmation.

From the moment we checked in till the end of our stay, Lea at the reception was taking the best care of us making us feel at home and beloved! Later in the evening we had a dinner at the restaurant and we had the best care from Youseff! I am the top elite level member of three different chains and have seen a lot of top notch hotels all around, but these two employees made Novotel Basel City very special among all others! Sincerely, thank you Lea and Youseff! Arthur Gasparyan
