Santa Klara - Bed and Breakfast

My favorite stay of the Camino so far. The office is closed for lunch until 17:00 most days but they let me in early which I appreciated! I got a solo room with its own bathroom for a very good price. The room was magical with a skylight and beautiful views of the rugged coast. Very cozy place to be while a storm passed. I thought the hosts were very welcoming and helped us with our laundry. Would recommend this spot.

After walking 15kms you are usually greeted with a warm welcome, as a pilgrim. I was greeted with a cold non-English-speaking woman and a sparse empty vending Machine. Say a lack of hospitality would be an understatement. Woman did not care whatsoever. I would highly recommend this place for tourists, but not pilgrims. Basque farmer, not hotel operator.

We had a beautiful evening. The views are terrific and the hosts are very friendly and welcoming! However, we felt like the hotel kind of needs some renovations, especially in the bathrooms as well as in the breakfast room/kitchen. The breakfast was OK but nothing more. The information brochures looked old and had been used by a lot of people, so it seemed. But these are details. Our overall experience was very good and we would certainly go back and/or recommend it!!
