Per the owner's request, we emailed ahead to let him know we would arrive after 6:00 p.m. We wondered why, but when we arrived at 9:00 p.m., the whole town appeared to have turned in for the night. Parking was available right in front of the hotel. The hotel was quiet, but we only had to knock once before the owner opened the door, welcomed us, and helped bring our bags to our two rooms. He was very hospitable and explained all the amenities. He mentioned that he and his wife might be gone in the morning and that we should let ourselves out. The rooms were comfortable and clean, with nice bathrooms and showers (and plenty of hot water). Wifi was available with a password. There was absolutely no noise or disturbance during the night. Guests with mobility impairments may have trouble getting upstairs, as I didn't see a lift and the passage was a little narrow. I don't know if there are any rooms on the ground level. The next morning, we found a lovely breakfast had been laid out for us in the dining room. It included all the usual northeastern European fare, such as cheese, meats, rolls, yogurt, muesli, fruit, milk, juice, and coffee. After a great breakfast, we packed up and let ourselves out. It's a beautiful area, but I can't speak to any specific attractions, as we were just passing through. If we ever happen to be in the area again, we will definitely stay here. Our party was a mix of Germans and Americans. The host spoke neither language particularly well, but that didn't matter. He was a very friendly fellow. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for an "off-the-beaten-path" stay. You won't find more comfortable, quaint, or reasonably priced accommodation.

The host was very hospitable and helpful. He prepared a very delicious breakfast and made sure we were satisfied with everything. Highly suggest the place! It was only a bit strange that the shower was in the bedroom but it posed no problem for us.

Our experience, as three British motorcyclists touring the Ardennes region, surpassed our expectations. The "comfortable" rooms were very clean and warm with everything working. The hosts greeted us, explained everything and also allowed us to park the bikes in the small alley. The shower in the twin room was excellent. The location was also very central with everything within a short walking distance. There is a shared toilet on the first floor but is was always clean and perfectly functional. Breakfast was also wonderful with many homemade products. Really super.
