Palazzo Margherita

Palazzo Margherita is a place with a noble past, as evidenced by the beautifully furnished interiors. The rooms are well-appointed, but they are affected by the smells from the rotisserie below and the loud noise of the customers, which disturb sleep until late at night. The toilet flushing sounds like it's starting a diesel engine, and the kitchen lacks the necessary amenities to make it usable. The location is excellent, being centrally located, but the hospitality is inexpressibly lacking.

I had a small doubt about the lack of photos of the bathroom, but given the many positive reviews, I took my chances and booked. My confidence was completely misplaced! The bathroom is dated, with no window or extractor fan, and the bathtub with a shower is extremely uncomfortable for someone just over 1.60 meters tall. But considering the period building, one might expect a bathroom. What's absurd and not even mentioned in the property description is the "SHARED PASSAGEWAY." The property has one double bedroom on the second floor and a king-size bedroom with a balcony on the first floor, which can be booked for three people because it has two double beds (the second in the dining room, which coincidentally overlooks the "SHARED PASSAGEWAY"). I booked the king-size room, which in the description boasted a PRIVATE dining area, equipped kitchen, and bathroom, but I found myself seeing the guest from the second-floor room walk through my dining area, which also overlooks the bathroom (which is not in the bedroom). What if I had booked for three people? The unfortunate person sleeping in the dining area would have seen strangers pass by during the night. Deeply disappointed by the owner's lack of professionalism and clarity, who should have mentioned the TOTAL LACK OF PRIVACY!!! Excellent location in the historic center of Cisternino, spacious room, comfortable double bed. Acceptable cleanliness.

This spectacular B&B in the center of Cisternino is definitely recommended for its location and excellent value. The owner was very helpful and courteous. In short, congratulations!
