Knoll House Hotel

Just a very lovely homely hotel. Second night here and whilst the rooms are fairly basic, they are clean, warm and comfy. Staff are lovely, food is very tasty and you can properly relax and feel at home. Made the mistake last night of going out to the nearest pub near the Pig and what at a waste in comparison to the quality of food you get here. Kids and dog friendly. Location is brilliant and will be coming back again. Just what the doctor ordered

OK so the rooms and hotel are a little run down, but that's not what this place is about. This is a hotel for dogs and their owners,where the staff are so friendly and helpful they are more like old friends. The rooms are all clean and tidy bathrooms are absolutely spotless as was all bed linen and bath towels. with everything you need provided. Hotel reception has a small pamphlet of about 10 beautiul walks you can do right from your front door. The area is absolutely stunning with sea, coastal and woodland views. Then you get to the food and this is just incredible, so good that after eating out only once, my wife decided that all of our meals would be taken there. There is a separate restaurant for dogs and there owners.

What a gem! Good service, excellent food and lovely location. Yes it has its quirks.. but its an old building! Staff very friendly and welcoming. Love all the nostalgia... it feels like the hotel is giving you a hug when you walk in. Rooms well appointed. Lovely and clean everywhere too. We will be back
