La Peña Luxury Tarifa

The term "Luxury" for La Peña is deeply misleading and disappointing. Our room was tiny, dated, and offered a very uncomfortable stay, especially considering the high price. While the outdoor areas, like the pool and gardens, are pleasant, the essential indoor comfort is lacking. Furthermore, the hotel's remote location is a major inconvenience. You absolutely require a car for any activity, dining, or trips into Tarifa town, which defeats the purpose of a relaxing beach holiday. If you value modern rooms, easy access to local amenities, and true value for money, look elsewhere. This stay was overpriced and failed to deliver on its promise of luxury.

Worst. Stay. Ever. 👎 This was supposed to be a "luxury" stay, but it was anything but. The room smelled like mold and was really damp. The so-called "sea view" was a tiny sliver of blue between two other buildings. To top it off, the staff was completely unhelpful when we brought up our issues. Save your money and stay somewhere else.

Unfortunately our experience at this house was extremely disappointing. The rooms were in poor condition and unclean, which was a major letdown. Additionally, it was not clear that the swimming pool was shared and everythin was dirty. The outside lights didn't even work and we had to ask the host to do something. Accessing the location was a challenge, even with a car, and there were no nearby activities to engage in. The most frustrating aspect was the constant electricity interruptions. The air conditioning couldn't work, even with only the fridge on. It resulted in the loss of all our food. Overall, this stay was hell. Just don't go there.
