Eggerhof Mallnitz

Tried the restaurant now two times... The service is really bad! In a total of 2 hours we just had diner. We asked for dessert but since the table had another reservation we didn't get it. Actually we received the check and had to leave. Also the second time, it is hard to get another drink. And when asking for dessert, you are told to leave in 30mins so make hurry. The restaurant is not service focused, or would like to provide an experience you would expect when eating out. Food overall was good, From spatzle, spaghetti, children menu till the zwiebelrostbraten. Place: good location in the village. No special wheel chair or children corner. Even the food was good, the service is so bad and waiters are grumpy. I rate it low.

This is probably our seventh or eighth time staying at the Eggerhof during our holidays (winter and summer). I absolutely cannot understand the negative review; the service is by no means unfriendly, but rather very pleasant and attentive. The Eggerhof specializes in families, offering spacious rooms and apartments. In the evenings, there is a four-course menu featuring good Austrian cuisine, but you can also order à la carte. However, if you are an outside guest just wanting to eat, you should make a reservation, as it is always quite busy.
