Da Vinci - Italian Kitchen Täsch

Local Italian restaurant attached to a hotel. Food is good/okay, but we received subpar service. Food ordered: Feb 23, 2026 Mon lunch menu #1 - Lamb chop with scalloped potatoes and roasted zucchini + salad & soup from the buffet + Food was mostly tasty. Lamb chop had good flavor, potatoes were crispy on the top and creamy in the center. Soup was not my cup of tea (bowl of soup). + Decorations were good. Solid wood tabletop and interior wall. * We stayed at the hotel on the same premise, and received one free drink per person. - Service was disappointing. One server in particular was very dismissive, passive and almost ignored us. This gave us the impression of we were bothering her, or if we were not there. She had a very different demeanor towards other (local/white/German speaking) customers. For example, when we first entered the restaurant, the server was looking down at the register machine, and when I asked for a table for 2, she made a (most likely) grumping sound, and took what felt like 5 minutes before giving us the menus. But greeted other customers with a delightful "Guten Tag" when they came in. Another example, we weren't offered tea/coffee at the end of our meal while other customers were. This was, unfortunately, an uncomfortable experience.

Ordered 3 pizzas, and two pastas. Went as a group of 5 people. We had reservations but it seemed as walk ins were seated without issue. I had the spicy chili pizza with bacon. It was delicious, crust was perfect, sauce was spicy, and meat were juicy and not overcooked. Only reason I gave service less a star was because once the food arrived, we were never checked on until our meals were done. I could have ordered another drink with hot hot/spicy the pizza was. Either way, make sure to stop in for a delicious meal.

Awesome authentic Italian dining👍👍Luckily we didn’t listen to all negative noises and decided to try out this Italian resto in tasch! We were served by Mr Federico-a Very diligent young man. Even the Manager Aso walked ard to every tables to ensure the guests are happy and satisfied with the food and services. If I am Back to zermatt again , I shall visit Da Vinci Italian kitchen tasch.
