Fattoria di Poggiopiano Winery

This was a unique find on our way out of Florence. I wanted my wife and I, along with my sister and her husband, to see a Tuscan winery... and this was the perfect choice! I emailed Martina and she arranged a tour as well as a wine and olive oil tasting just for us. She's the daughter in this family-owned and operated vineyard and extremely knowledgeable of her craft. My wife and I have been to several wineries world-wide but this was the best experience of all. Not only did we learn a lot, we left with a couple of bottles of excellent wine and olive oil and ordered a case to be shipped back home! I highly recommend.

A true gem in Fiesole. As part of my bike tour, we stopped here and tasted their award winning oil olive as well as their local red wine. The warm welcome, introduction of their property and the thorough explanation the oil production and how to treat this gold product was totally great. Highly recommend everyone.

Most wonderful experience. Stunning view of the city during daylight and sunset hours. Very peaceful and relaxing for those who would like to visit the outskirts of Florence via bus (and walk 15 minutes uphill) though the bus schedules might be delayed at times. Friendly people. Reasonable price considering that the extra virgin olive oil and wine for tasting are produced right at the sustainable farm.
