Older property. Room was across driveway on 2nd floor of apartment building. Very nice clean room. Very minimal however. Receptionist was always helpful. Americans usually stay here I heard. It’s on the via Francigena. Overall I recommend it.

We stayed at this hotel for one night while walking the Via Francigena this past June. Prior to staying at this location we were aware of the mixed and inconsistent reviews. However, our reputable tour operator, who we have used previously without disappointment, advised that there were limited options in the area. We were pleasantly surprised by the exterior of the building, lobby and friendly staff when we arrived. Unfortunately our room was a complete disappointment. The bathroom ceiling paint was peeling extensively. One of the walls was cracked and in a state of disrepair. A panel and trim on another wall was damaged and coming loose. The nails holding this panel were visible and loose. We are not sure if our room was representative of other rooms in this hotel. The main reason for our low rating of this establishment is that any business that knowingly rents out a room that is damaged and clearly neglected over time is disrespectful to their clientele regardless of the price charged (high or low) or where your client is from (near or far). We would not recommend this hotel. We have addressed our concerns with our tour operator as we feel that this establishment does not meet their standards.
