Hotel Posthaus Urigen

We did not use the hotel. As we passed by, we stopped to rest and drink coffee. Very, very special, friendly atmosphere. Very friendly and helpful staff. A great view of the surrounding nature. Excellent architecture and authenticity of buildings. All this gives a very positive aura, a great-unusual feeling. If you're anywhere nearby, make sure to drop by to soak up the atmosphere. This is the most special and best place I have stayed in my many travels over the years. A huge thank you to the staff for setting up the place and treating the guests.

I stopped there for a light meal and a cup of coffee,, setting outdoor, enjoying lovely weather and sipping coffee and having a local made cheese and cakes.. Is something I will always remember... Staff were very friendly and kind, service was done in a timely manner and the whole staff was one family member... They do enjoy their work and showed dedication... Parking lot is available around the hotel and nearby

Perfect stop to take a well deserved night of rest in the beautiful surroundings of Switzerland, Altdorf. For example, if your depart from the Netherlands (Eindhoven area) or Germany (Aachen/Dusseldorf area) and your destination is Tuscany, its a 8-9 hour drive. Although it takes a small drive upwards, of approximately 15 minutes from the town Altdorf itself, to the establishment. If you wake up early enough you can witness the Swiss cows 🐄 taking on another journey. Otherwise, ask your girlfriend to film it for you. It's a beautifully old Posthaus building in a typical local building style..
