Stayed one night on an unplanned stopover and it was really nice. Staff very helpful and spoke a little bit on English. Very nice little town with all local amenities in walking distance including a kabab takaway for a quick cheap and tasty meal. Interesting history and I found the people both cheerful and helpful.

This simple looking old motel is an absolute gem for food lovers. The rooms are nice, reasonably priced, in a quiet location. But the main attraction here is the fabulous Michelin Starred restaurant. The chef brothers, sons of the owner, have worked hard to invent a beautiful selection of dishes using local produce, with a particular emphasis on Piedmont rice. I went here after seeing it featured on TV, being highly recommend by Italian/American actor and food lover Stanley Tucci. It did not disappoint. The service and wine selection provided by owner, was equal to the food, and I hope to return again soon.

In summary: Go there! Don't be fooled by the surroundings - the food is delicious! We let the chef decide what to serve and enjoyed every single bite: among others crispy sweetbread and almonds, composition of raw fish with vanilla, risotto with coffee powder and rigatoni with tomatoes and mint ice-cream as dessert. The restaurant is family-run with the two brothers in the kitchen and the mother in the restaurant. The service was great: warm and unpretentious.
