Flying in Austria is a bit different than other countries. Here you need yes from the landowner and it does not help if you want to spend money on his restaurant :-( I travel with motorhome and off course I did not order a room. But you would think a dinner and some payment for airfield would be OK for using an airfield that is anyhow empty except a few brave souls in the windy conditions today. No.. the owner was called and we shook hands explaining were I came from but absolutely no flying and no dinner available. Pitty. It seems like a nice place. Btw it was almost the same at top of Gerlitzen. No parking at the hotel or dinner but in the top restaurant I finally found a girl that accepted 20eur for a parking place during night.

Hello, it was a fantastic weekend with amazing weather that our wives thoroughly enjoyed by the pool. The rooms are perfect, clean, and very spacious – you can't help but feel comfortable. We can only say to the hosts: keep up the good work! We're already looking forward to next year. It's simply fantastic for model flying!

I've been coming there for a week each year since 2007 to fly model aircraft. The flying conditions are excellent. They use an electric SwissTrainer tow plane, which is very powerful. It pulls even the large gliders safely to release altitude. The landing conditions are perfect, the scenery is breathtaking, and the hosts are so welcoming that I eagerly anticipate my trip every year. The food there is also absolutely delicious.
