From checking in to checking out, the staff were brilliant and really friendly. The room was clean, well prepared and the bed was incredibly comfy. We only stayed one night but we did have food in the hotel. Both the food at night and the breakfast were spot on. Definitely stay again in the future. The hotel is within walking distance of all the local shop/pubs.

I cannot rate how much we enjoyed staying at The Bulls Head. From the moment we arrived and Molly got a welcome gift to our service and food, it was so good. The room was lovely with lovely views over the hills. Breakfast was so good as well. We loved it so much that we are going back in June.

We called in here for drinks after hiking Mam Tor with the intention of coming back later for food, however we were put off by the unfriendly, bordering on rude bar staff. We had a few drinks in here and were served by different staff, but each time there was no eye contact, no hello and no please or thank you. I asked to sample the real ales and the barmaid rolled her eyes, you would think I had asked her to dig the back garden over !!! It's a shame really because the pub itself is really nice and welcoming with real fires and stunning views, as per my photo. The food being served to other customers looked really good and we heard no complaints, but we decided to eat elsewhere purely because of the rude barstaff.
