First of all, lovely service, great location, delicious breakfast. But... All 5 star reviews are from the rooms on the front side, with a view. I got a room on the backside. The window was blinded, because it opened to a dark alley. I paid €155,- for 1 night and expected more than what I got. There was a waterboiler with 2 teabags and 2 dry mini muffins. In the shower there was 1 product, a mix of shampoo and bodywash. And that was it, no extra perks. And that in combination with no natural light and zero view, made it feel too expensive for me. I had been on a long walking journey, traveling with a backpack and sleeping mostly in shared bedrooms, so yeah I hoped to get a bit more for that money. But still it is a nice hotel and the great breakfast and friendly employees made up for a lot. Just make sure you get a room on the front side 😉

It is a lovely place on a very quiet spot on the waterfront of this beautiful village. Modern with a good eye for the old building. Breakfast was lovely, hosts were friendly. And the central room for breakfast is beautiful and looking out over the waterfront. The only remark we have (and that is due to our own naive expectation), is that you make sure with your booking that you have a waterfront room. The other rooms are without any view, with small windows on the backside of the place. Where you have the air-conditioning one meter from your window if you open it. For the (Easter weekend) high price we paid, it was very disappointing to us. One other detail: after two minutes the shower ran out of hot water. And okay one more: in a place with such a keen eye on design it's strange that they use paper cups for tea making facilities in the room. But if you have a room with a view all these minor details will disappear and it's a perfect place to stay ;-)

I would like to post a wholehearted review of this hotel - and especially the care and helpfulness of our hostess for the stay on the night of Thurs April 13. She went to great efforts to help us get a taxi when my friend was very sick. The hotel itself is lovely: small, quiet, clean, and comfortable - very close to the water and the boats going about their business. The breakfast downstairs is welcoming and it is also a good place to talk with other travelers.
