Excellent accommodation with really lovely staff. Keith was really friendly and the chef Helen is a hidden gem. Her food is delicious and a really varied menu. Bar staff were also lovely. A perfect place to explore the western fells. Thank you

We stopped at the Shepherds Arms on our coast to coast route. What a lovely surprise. The room was a really good size, with decent bathroom. The mattress was a little bit soft for my liking, but apart from that all great. The real highlight was the restaurant, absolutely top. A real decent selection all homemade and put together by a single chef. She ran a tight ship with no one waiting a long time, and the food really was impressively tasty. Great breakfast too. They also offer sandwiches or a full packed lunch which we took advantage of, and the sandwiches were really top notched. Highly recommend.

A lovely old Inn with bed and breakfast and serving meals throughout the day. A large delicious breakfast and a comfortable room. The meal I had in the evening was a very good and unusual vegetarian tart with a salad, prompt service and a good local beer to go with it.
